The Virgin Birth
The Virgin Birth has become one
of the most debated doctrines in
Christianity. Next to the Resurrection
of Christ the Virgin Birth has become
one of the most controversial topics
in Christianity. It is something that
is essential to the Christian’s belief.
Why? You might ask, because to deny
the Virgin Birth is to deny the
supernatural or miraculous elements
of scripture. Mary was told by an
angel that she would conceive a child
by the Holy Spirit. His name was to be
“Jesus, for He will save His people
from their sins”. Shepherds saw
angels in the sky and were told of a
Savior’s birth in Bethlehem. Wise men
traveled hundreds of miles to worship
the One who, they said, “has been
born King of the Jews”. With no idea
of the outcome, they all came by faith
to see the baby. The Lord, the Counselor,
The Prince of Peace, The Mighty God,
The Everlasting Father. Amen!
