The Messiah

Every year about this time, our
hearts feel a familiar longing to
return to the story we are getting
ready to celebrate this morning in
our Christmas program,
“Light Of The World”. It
gives us a chance to re-vist every
detail of the Natvity and say, “Jesus,
let every part of our Christmas be
about You.”
The Old Testament includes about sixty
different prophecies, with more than
300 references of the coming of the
Messiah. It was through the fulfillment
of these prophecies that Israel was told
she would be be able to recognize the
true Messiah when He came.
Jesus is the greatest. He is the Son of
God. Nothing compares to His Virgin
Birth, His sacrifice, His love and His
power.
That is why we say”Jesus is the reason
for the season”.
